I've recently been talking to some of my fellow skateboarders...
One of them mentioned looking for an 8mm camera to shoot some skate video with.
He was looking for an 8mm with a firewire hook-up/adapter thing.
I was wondering if you guys had any buying tips, maybe where, or approximate costs..
or anything else that I might be able to relay to him...
    Thanks..

Digital eight cameras employ digital video and deliver good quality (equal to mini-dv). There are only two or three models available so the choice isn't that complex. I chose a TRV-350.

Super-8 cameras are film cameras that allow for certain affects that aren't as easy to do with video but your running time per minute shot is like 100 times more money by the time you transfer the footage to video.
